Why I do this work.
I grew up in Sulphur, Louisiana: the kid with ADHD and a speech impediment. I know what it’s like when your brain and your words don’t cooperate.
Sports were where I made sense. I played baseball at McNeese State and was part of the 2006 Southland Conference championship team, then moved to LSU to study biological science, working as a research assistant at Pennington Biomedical Research Center.
At Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, I found functional neurology and became fascinated by a different question: instead of looking only at a diagnosis, what could we learn by studying how an individual’s nervous system was actually functioning? I came home and opened my practice in 2011.

Since then I’ve worked with children who haven’t found their words yet, adults rebuilding after brain and spinal cord injuries, and athletes chasing their best.
Different people, same question: what is this nervous system telling us, and what does it need?
Over the years, one lesson kept repeating itself: the label is rarely the whole story. Two children can share the same diagnosis and have very different neurological, developmental and medical histories. That’s why I believe assessment has to come before protocol, and why difficult cases require us to keep asking better questions.
